Go Bag

Car seats are installed in the car. The pack n' play is assembled with clean sheets and a water proof liner. The rocker/swing thing is put together. Both changing stations are fully stocked and ready to go. The stroller is assembled. I can't think of any other large items left to put together or install.

I started packing the go bags last week. Yes, bags. I couldn't figure out how to organize everything in one bag in a way that made sense so I opted for 3 bags - 1 for me, 1 for Alex and 1 for the Violet and Zara. I'm probably packing way too much but I'd rather be over prepared than under prepared. The bags are in our bedroom, which I realize is not exactly helpful if I were to go into labor while not at home. However, after my appointment today I feel pretty good that spontaneous labor will not occur. I'm not dilated at all. Basically there is nothing going on down there and we've scheduled the c-section at Liberty Center for 8 AM on Saturday 4/13 (less than 3 weeks!). I have to gather a few more things in my bags before I'm officially ready. I'll probably get them in the trunk of my car by this weekend just in case.

I have an ultrasound next Monday. I'm betting they'll be over 6 pounds each by then. If I'm right I'll get two 7 pound babies out of this deal when I deliver on the 13th. Kind of insane to think about, but at least I won't need to rush out and get any premie clothes and they won't need time in the NICU!

Here's what I've packed (or will pack - not everything is fully together yet). Don't laugh. I'm a first time mom:
