Significant Life Event #12: Juan Luis Guerra Concert

Last night I went to a concert of a latin pop sensation, Juan Luis Guerra, with my sisters and some of their friends. It was held in a huge outdoor arena. In true Peruvian style, the ticket said the concert started at 8 and it started at 9:20. Fortunately for us we were waiting outside until 9 just to get into the arena so we didn't miss anything. They did not have the most efficient way of getting people into the arena...

There were two opening acts that I liked just as well as Juan. I did not catch the first guy's name but he had awesome long dreadlocks and a reggae style. The second act was Marco. I thought my younger sister was going to die of excitement when he played her favorite song of his first. Juan played for over an hour with a 4 song encore. Of the many songs he sang I had heard one of them before. So for 3 minutes I was able to sing along wildly off key with the rest of my surrounds. There was not much room to move in the stands but some how we all managed to dance the entire time we were there. It was a late night but definitely worth the 34 soles I paid for the ticket (thats like 12 bucks!)
